Reiki in Action:
Our Charitable Work

At Dragonfly Reiki Marketplace, we believe Reiki shouldn’t only be available to those with extra time, money, or access.

Our mission is to help get Reiki into the homes, communities, and groups that need it most—through scholarships, community partnerships, and events that directly give back.

Every membership, class, and session purchased through Dragonfly Reiki Marketplace helps us:

Support new practitioners through the Dragonfly Reiki Scholarship Initiative​

Offer free Calm Memberships to organizations and individuals in need​

Provide sliding-scale and sponsored practitioner training​

Expand the reach of community Reiki to more people, in more places​

When you invest in your own healing here, you’re also helping someone else access theirs.

The Dragonfly Reiki Scholarship Initiative

The Dragonfly Reiki Scholarship Initiative is our commitment to growing a network of grounded, heart-centered Reiki practitioners—especially in communities where access to wellness support is limited.

 

Scholarships are designed for people who feel deeply called to learn Reiki but are facing financial barriers. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Caregivers and single parents
  • Those living with illness, disability, or chronic stress
  • People serving in high-impact roles (formal or informal)
  • Individuals from underserved or marginalized communities
  • Community builders, peer supporters, and quiet helpers who rarely invest in themselves

What Scholarship Recipients Receive​

Depending on the level of support granted, recipients may receive:

  • Partial or full tuition for Reiki training
  • A Calm Membership to support their own ongoing healing
  • Access to practice spaces and community support through Dragonfly Reiki Marketplace

Our intention is simple:
To help people who are already holding so much for others develop tools that support both themselves and their communities.

Expectations of Scholarship Recipients​

We treat this initiative as a partnership, not charity.

In return for this support, scholarship recipients agree to:

  • Participate fully and respectfully in their classes and training
  • Send Reiki to the Dragonfly Reiki Energy Grid once a week for 12 months
    • This grid is where requests for Reiki support from our community are held
  • Offer one act of community Reiki service per month in a way that feels safe and appropriate for them
    • This might look like: distance Reiki for a community group, free/donation-based sessions, or quiet support behind the scenes
  • Once they become Reiki Masters and begin teaching, they commit to:
    • Always offering at least 2 free seats in every class they teach, so that this gift grows exponentially and continues to ripple outward

We also encourage (but do not strictly require):

  • Sharing a short testimonial or story about their experience, so we can show the impact of this initiative and expand it further

This is how one scholarship becomes many circles of support, over time.

How to Apply

The application process is designed to be simple and dignity-focused.

 

Applicants will be asked to share:

  • A bit about who they are and where they live
  • Why they feel called to learn Reiki at this time
  • How they hope to use Reiki in their life, family, or community
  • Any barriers they are currently facing in accessing training

We do not require invasive financial documentation. We trust people to be honest about their situation and their intentions.

Community Partnership Program

Dragonfly Reiki Marketplace is also committed to offering support at a community and organizational level.

We work with organizations who are caring for people in high-stress, high-impact, or high-need environments, such as:

  • Community-based organizations and nonprofits
  • Women’s shelters and family support programs
  • Cancer and chronic-illness support networks
  • Youth, student, and young adult supports
  • Veterans and first responder groups
  • Grief, loss, and bereavement communities
  • Animal rescue, foster, and hospice networks

How We Support Organizations​

Partnerships may include:

  • Free Calm Memberships for selected members of your organization or community
  • Sliding-scale or fully sponsored practitioner training for people within your group who feel called to learn Reiki and support others

Our goal is to meet each organization where they are and co-create something that is genuinely helpful and sustainable.

The Dragonfly Karma Badge

As you browse the Dragonfly community calendar, you’ll begin to see a small symbol on some of our events—the Dragonfly Karma Badge. This badge lets you know that:

  • The practitioner has chosen to equally share the ticket price with Dragonfly Reiki Marketplace, and
  • A portion of your ticket is going directly toward:
    • Funding additional scholarships
    • Supporting free Calm Memberships
    • Sponsoring future practitioner training for those who could not otherwise access it
