Creating a Compelling Practitioner Profile: What to Include
Once your account is approved, in order to become active on the Dragonfly – Reiki Marketplace, you’ll need to complete the following 5 sections. If you don’t complete all of them, your account will not become active and clients won’t be able to access your services.
Provide the following information to make your profile 100% findable and bookable:
Under "Profile Settings"
Personal and Contact Details
This information helps us ensure that Dragonfly – Reiki Marketplace remains a safe and secure platform for both practitioners and clients. Don’t worry, we’ll keep your contact details to ourselves.
Starting Price
The minimum price per session is $50.00, but most practitioners charge $75 to $120 per session.
Just starting out? It’s best to charge less and gradually increase your rates as you gain more knowledge and experience.
Bio
Your bio is your chance to let your true self shine through: Your authenticity will help you attract clients who resonate with your approach and energy. Consider mentioning what inspired you to pursue Reiki, and how it’s changed your life. If potential clients can relate to your journey, they’ll feel more comfortable choosing you as their Reiki practitioner.
Profile Photo
When it comes to choosing a profile photo, opt for one that is professional and reflective of your personality. Eventually, you might consider investing in headshots to showcase yourself in the best light possible.
Membership Options (Optional)
Build loyalty and long-term relationships with clients by offering membership options that make it easy and affordable to access your services.
Experience & Education
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Awards & Certificates
Don’t forget to include any awards and certificates you’ve received in your profile. This includes certificates for completing advanced Reiki courses and any other awards that could help you stand out to potential clients.
Gallery (Optional)
Your gallery is a great place to showcase your personality, achievements, and favourite things. Include 5-10 photos that can help potential clients get to know you better, whether it’s your favourite pet, a picture of you doing something you love or a snapshot of an accomplishment you’re proud of.
Business Name & Location
Even if you don’t have a physical clinic, you should still include your business name and location on your profile.
Pro Tip: Creating a unique business name and logo is a great way to establish your brand and stand out from other practitioners. Canva offers a free and easy platform where you can create your own logo.
Social Media Profiles (Optional)
Social media can be a powerful tool for expanding your Reiki business and connecting with potential clients. By linking your social media profiles to your Dragonfly profile, you allow clients to get to know you better and get a feel for your energy and approach.
With the power of social media, you can expand your reach and build brand recognition for your Reiki business. Discover how to effectively promote your small business on social media with this article.
Under "Specialties and Services"
Click your name at the top right corner of the screen. Click “Specialties and Services” in the drop-down menu that appears to get there.
Specialties
You need to select a specialty in order to input your services. Click the drop-down menu to “Select specialty,” and you’re off!
Your Specialties are the things you want to hone in on in your Reiki practice. Are you more interested in Animal Reiki? Do you want to work with people going through divorce, terminal illness, anxiety, depression, PTSD? Want to offer something a little different – Like forest bathing or meditation sessions?
You might choose one or many specialties based on your life experiences. What challenges have you, yourself, faced? This can provide clues as to the type of client you will resonate most with.
Services
This is where you advertise the session types you’ll offer to potential clients.
Input your Service Title. This can be something simple like, “30 Mins – Virtual.”
Next, choose a Price. (See “Starting Price” tab above.)
Finally, fill out the description for this service. What can the client expect from their session? Keep it clear and concise!
Once you submit your service, add as many as you like by clicking “Add New.”

Under "Appointment Settings"
Click your name at the top right corner of the screen. Click “Appointment Settings” in the drop-down menu that appears to get there.
Appointment Settings by Weekday
To adjust your “Appointment Settings By Weekday,” click the blue pencil icon. From there, select “Add Time Slot.” If you’re available for continuous hours, like from 12-8, input it as one slot. If you wish to have breaks, say for dinner, set your slots separately, such as 12-5 and then 6-8. Additionally, in this section, you can manage “Time between appointments” and “appointment length” using the convenient drop-down menus. This helps ensure you have adequate time to prepare or rest between sessions.
It’s crucial to set a routine that feels comfortable and manageable since this schedule will recur every week. Remember, there’s no obligation to offer extensive hours or go full-time. Just choose a schedule that suits you best, knowing the right clients will adapt to your availability.
(Important) Tick All The Boxes - Literally
After you’ve set your time slots, you must check the boxes for each service on the right side under “Specialties and Services.” This step is vital as, without it, our system will not activate your profile. Each service you inputted in the previous section, for instance, “50 minute Reiki Session,” needs its box checked. Ticking these boxes communicates to our system that you’re offering those specific services during your selected time slots. Don’t miss this step; it’s the key to getting your profile up and running!

Speaking Directly to Your Ideal Clients: Tips for Crafting a Targeted Profile
When it comes to marketing, it’s important to remember that your goal is not to reach everyone, but to attract the right people who resonate with your unique energy and approach.
"As tempting as it may be to cast a wide net, the truth is that if you try to resonate with everyone, you'll end up speaking to no one."
– Kat, Dragonfly’s favorite marketing Guru
Before taking any steps to promote your Reiki practice, take some time to reflect on your ideal client. Who are they? What are their needs and desires? Once you have a clear idea of your target audience, you can tailor your profile to speak directly to them. And if your profile isn’t resonating with the people you can help the most, don’t be afraid to refine it until it does. After all, the right clients are out there waiting for you – it’s just a matter of speaking directly to them.
