Darlene has been a very sensitive soul and empath, seeing ‘the other side’ and having psychic connections with animals and people since her childhood. This sensitivity and strong ability to connect especially with shy, quiet children was what led her to become a classroom teacher in 1988. Darlene worked closely with young people and their families and was able to support them from her unique and gentle past experiences. However, her more enhanced healing gifts surfaced after a cancer diagnosis and a meeting of 3 Archangels in the summer of 2005.

Having just moved across the country, the shock of this news was compounded by the fact that she didn’t have any community or know a single soul. One night, unable to sleep, the room Darlene sat in suddenly filled with warm, comforting lights that were blue, purple and green completely surrounding and enveloping her.

The sources of the lights made themselves known to her, Archangels Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. They came to assure her she was going to be OK and that it was important that she listened to her heart so they could guide her through.

The next day she felt it necessary to go to the bookstore near her new apartment and was slowly, subtly ushered to the self-help aisle. Here she saw a row of books with the words ‘Reiki as a hands-on healing’ in their titles. Not knowing what it was, she sat there all day reading every Reiki book. Darlene then interviewed and hired a Reiki Practitioner to help energetically support the cancer journey she was about to embark on.

During her first Reiki healing session with her new healing practitioner, Darlene KNEW what was to come next. Her soul awoke and her life’s purpose and calling became clear to her that very day!

Now, 21 years later, an expert in her field of Japanese Reiki Training and Spiritual Mentoring, Darlene facilitates healing sessions that change people’s lives forever. She teaches other healers The Japanese System of Reiki. More than a hands-on client based modality, it is a daily spiritual practice in which the main focus is first and foremost the student, not the client, finding True Self. It provides healers with a solid and consistent foundation for growth and accountability as a person before becoming a healer.

As well as teaching and healing, Darlene also supports animals who are feeling anxious, unsettled, and not understood. From a distance, which is much easier for the animals, they are sent and demonstrate to their humans watching the session a feeling of calm and peace so that they can take a breath, experience comfort, and allow their whole system to restore to safety and calm.
